Bismillaah
Alhamdulillaah we have been having lovely sunshine and warm weather past few days.
We discovered a new area in the park today.
After going over the safety rules with the children, we moved on to free forest play.
In forest school, play is self-directed. Children come up with ways they want to play.
Play is also unstructured and self-motivated.
So during play time, you will find some children in a group, some in pairs and some playing independently. It is all considered play.
I take time to observe each child and then join them in their play.
We had one group keen on climbing trees.

Another group was at the logs and challenging themselves with incline.

After a good 40 mins, we sat down for story time/snacks. This rhyming book had a glimpse of the animal and then the type of nest with eggs. The children had to guess which animal the egg belonged to. This was a really fun read and the children were shouting their answers even before I completed the rhymes 😄
We learned plenty of great facts, and learned about some reptiles and insects who also lay eggs (as well as birds)

After snack, we had an art activity and more games!
