Tapping into our Instincts

Today was a beautiful sunny day. A lot of reminders in the Forest about Fall approaching. Coloured leaves, fallen leaves, tent caterpillars, mushrooms growing on Forest floor. After a short hike, we went into the woods to sit under the cool shade. May Allaah 'azz wa jall grant us shade on the Day of Judgment when no one will have shade except for the 7 types of people!

We explored some of the homes we could find. We looked for signs for whose home could it be. Most animals don't prefer to build homes around human activity. We were close to walking trails so found homes that were mostly underground or under logs.

Children loved this tree and took turns going in and out. This helped them prepare for the next game we played: Frog and dragonfly hunt. The children worked together beautifully finding items to build a nest. I loved seeing the role each child played. The girls were very interested in decorating the home and the boys rushed to bring in items to build the nest. They asked what was needed and went as far ahead to bring it. Each had their role they played guided by their instincts. SubHaanAllaah!
